Immigration protest takes place near Expo New Mexico
Our cameras captured protesters carrying signs and flags as they spoke out against the Trump administration's immigration policies.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A protest of U.S. immigration policies took place Sunday evening near Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Protesters gathered near Louisiana and Central. Many of them carried Mexican flags and said they were there to protest raids by agents with U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.
Albuquerque Police urged drivers to avoid the area and were there to ensure traffic flowed smoothly. There were no issues reported.
