Pay it 4ward Hotline: Albuquerque Sign Language Academy
The Albuquerque Sign Language Academy provides an ASL-English dual-language curriculum to deaf, hard of hearing and hearing students in an effort to build community and inclusivity. The ASL Academy serves 100 K-12 students – 95% of whom have a link to the deaf community, either by being deaf or hard of hearing themselves or by having a deaf sibling, parent, cousin, or other family member.
KOB 4 partnered with the ASL Academy for a Pay it 4ward Hotline Wednesday, June 25 to help them raise $2,500 to help the school in their mission to build an accessible future for New Mexicans.
They are always looking to raise more funds to help serve more students. If you missed the hotline but would still like to donate, text “ASLA” to 243725. You can also visit the ASL Academy website for other ways to donate, information about enrollment and the community resources they offer.
